This is a part of how the Sara Gamp left her mark on the beach as she was pulled up onto land. I like to imagine this process a struggle. I find it hard to believe that a sailboat would be willingly dragged off the beach and across a field. From the broken driftwood and scraped off paint it looks like she put up a bit of a fight. But the ropes and machines, gas rather than wind power, and, I'm sure, shouts and groans prevailed. Hopefully it was someone who wants to put her back in the water again.
